Walking tall …

… big statement for someone who  stands at only 5’2″! But that’s how I feel after a really strong, hard workout or run, like the workout I just had a few hours ago. It amazes me each time I go through the process how much better I feel, not just in body, but in spirit. Seriously. I did something that is good for me. It’s a great stress reliever, plus it prompts me to make much better food choices, which is why I typically like to get my workout in early in the day. Better choices all day long.

Today, however, I got my fitness time in after work. And I didn’t just go through the motions. You know, we all do that sometimes. Right?? But tonight I hit it hard. Perhaps part of that is due to the ultra productive day I had … I was already feeling energized and the workout only amplified that feeling.

Then spending the evening with my hubby, a rare thing it seems because of my ridiculous schedule, has been incredible!! Thankfully, much of that craziness will dissipate after Oct. 19 … A work conference Oct. 16-17, for which I am coordinating the vendor show, followed immediately by the Association for Women in Communications National Conference, Oct. 18 – 19 here in Springfield, IL, for which I am the chair, will both come to a close.

WHEW!! Love events … attending, coordinating, planning, leading, participating, etc., but it’s not likely I’ll have any back-to-back events like these two are, if at all possible, in the near future.

In any case, a totally awesome day … time with God, productivity at the office, fabulous workout, conversations with friends, quality time with the love of my life and now time for reading and watching the Bears game … yep … I feel 10 feet tall! My life is blessed! I am at peace … as if I were right in the middle of this photo I took not too long ago : )

So, what are the blessings you treasure today?

Wishing you love & laughter!
